| Exercises For Relieving Sciatica |
|
Sciatica most frequently attacks people between 30 and 50 years of age. Often, a particular event or injury does not cause sciatica, rather it may develop as a result of general wear and tear of the structures of the lower spine. Though, vast majority of people get over sciatica with time and with back pain support, for some people, the pain from sciatica can be severe and debilitating. Sciatica only affects one side of the lower body, and the pain often radiates from the lower back all the way through the back of the thigh and down through the leg causing lower back pain and leg numbing. Low back pain exercises prompt your body to release endorphins- chemicals that prevent pain signals from reaching your brain. If you're new to exercises for relieving sciatica, start out slowly and progress to at least 30 minutes most days. To prevent injury, consider learning proper weight lifting techniques from a certified physical therapist. |
