Surgery is considered as a long term measure by some but it on the whole is not a final solution. Sciatica can be cured with by using surgery but it can serve the long term goal of keeping the patient fit.

Medicines are also prescribed for patients suffering from chronic sciatica pain . But these medicines sometimes cause addiction and the life of the patients becomes utterly dependent on them.
