The back of our body
takes heavy stress in many of our activities that we rarely notice.
Even while we sit or walk, the back is always active. Back pain is
very common among people and its nothing serious until its diagnosed
with some slipped disc or stenosis in any area of the spine.
The back pain may occur due to muscle
tiredness, stress on the spinal joints or twists or turns on the
ligaments of the joints of the vertebra bones. These conditions do
not seem serious but many people suffer from such kind of
complications. They happen mostly due to lack of physical workouts or
wrong body postures. But if slipped disc or other complicate problems
cause the back pain, you need to be very careful and cannot even go
for any kind of exercise without the recommendations of the doctor.
The exercises can further injure your nerve roots or the spinal cord
being protruded by the bulging discs. At severe cases, surgery is
needed to heal the ailment.
Lets have a look at
some of the back exercises:
1. Stand straight against any clean
wall with the support and pressure of your back. Slowly come to a 90
degree crouching position. Stay there till you count 8-10 normally
and then resume the original position slowly. This increases the
tensile strength of the muscles of the back and the thighs. At the
same time they also decrease the spasms.
2. Lie upside down, that is with the
help of your stomach. Tighten the muscles of one of your legs and
raise it slowly upward keep hanging for 5-8 seconds and bring it down
slowly. Repeat with the other leg. Its one of the best back
exercises.
Besides exercises you can also go for
hot water treatments for the relief of the pain and spasms.
